This Branding was created for The Liberty Museum located in Old City Philadelphia. The mission of the museum is to represent the qualities of liberty through beautiful glass artworks. My design was influenced by a the flame of liberty, a metaphor for the passion and liveliness required to keep liberty alive. The basis of my design system comes from an angled square meant to represent a pane of glass; throughout the system, one can find sharp angles and cut corners that resemble the edges of glass. The logo itself is meant to be a piece of glass that feels as if it were crafted from the flame of liberty itself. Also, the details of the form are meant to resemble the most prominent glasswork found at the museum, Flame of Liberty by Dale Chihuly.
